Applying Regenerative Principles at the city and town level

From 2020 to 2023, the Transition Initiative Bonn im Wandel carried out Bonn's largest and very successful participation process to date "Bonn4Future - we for the climate" - with over 300 citizens and experts.

Bridport is a lively town in SW England which has many eco-social community-led initiatives, including an active Transition group Sustainable Bridport. Transition co-lead Deborah Benham is collaborating (out of her TN role) with Sustainable Bridport and the wider Dorset County Climate Action Network to explore how Living Systems principles can be used to co-design more systemic and impactful climate change responses and eco-social regeneration. Deborah will share some examples of other urban areas which have used nature's patterns and principles to improve the lives of residents and the health of local ecosystems and offer a sneak peek at the project that is shaping up in Dorset.

Hosted by Deborah Benham, and presented by Dr Gesa Maschkowski, in English (with possible German interpretation).
